Austin started playing guitar at 13 years old. As a teenager, he jammed in rock bands with his friends and had a spot in his school’s Jazz Band. His passion for music would take him to Hollywood, where he attended the Guitar Program of Musicians Institute and earned an Associates Degree in Guitar Performance. During this time, his interests expanded to orchestra and film scoring. After an inspiring recording session with an amazing cellist, Austin changed career paths and began focusing on film scoring. He would go on to attend classes and complete the Film Scoring Program at UCLA Extension.
